Today's stamp set is Postage Stamps and Postage Stamp Metal Dies!

My Craft Spot's very own Design Team Member Robin from Robin's Creative Cottage has been HARD at work, right along side Kimberly designing another WONDERFUL set of Metals Dies and coordinating Stamp Set.

All of the NEW Stamp Sets and Metal Dies will available for purchase on Saturday, April 27th.

~*~

For my Sneak Peek Project today, I've created a quick card using the Postage Stamps and Postage Stamp Metal Dies.

I based the card on the Mojo Monday #287 Sketch.

I replaced the circle embellishment with two POSTAGE STAMPS cut out with the NEW My Craft Spot Postage Stamp Metal Dies. Then, I stamped each Postage Stamp with several different images from the NEW My Craft Spot "Postage Stamps" Stamp Set.

I used some Memento "Tuxedo Black" Ink to stamp the rectangle outline onto the POSTAGE STAMPS Die-Cuts and for the value worth.

My Craft Spot Stamps are soo EASY and WONDERFUL to work with. You can use them with any stamping technique - Dye Ink Pads, Chalk Inks, and even Markers - like I did here. The "Blue Flowers" Stamps were inked with some Chalk Ink and the "Paid Postage" Stamps were inked with some Marvy Le PlumeII Markers. Both stamping techniques gave me a clear and crisp result - just LOVE it!

I finished off the card with a Black Button tied with ONE of My Craft Spot's NEWEST Baker's Twine Colors - "Lemon Tart" and a Pearl Stick Pin.

I hope you have enjoyed my project for My Craft Spot's Spring 2013 Stamp Release Party Sneak Peek #1. To see more "Sneak Peeks" of the "Postage Stamp" Stamp Set and Postage Stamps Metal Dies - available for purchase on Saturday, please visit My Craft Spot Blog. You don't want to miss it!

~*~

With the weather in the afternoons and all the birds chirping, I was inspired to create a quick Spring EGG Shaped Card.

This adorable little chickie in EGG is from the Cricut Simply Charmed Cartridge cut at 4.5". I cut the EGGshell from some Carta Bella's Natural White Linen Cardstock - just LOVE this cardstock's texture - and then sprinkled some Martha Stewart Glitter. I layered a piece of Echo Park's Sweet Day pattern paper underneath the "EGGshell" for a quick design look.

I tied some "Petal Pink" Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot around the "EGGshell" and tucked in a sentiment strip underneath a yellow Prima Mulberry Rose.

I gave the little chickie a cute face with my Peachy Keen "Critter Faces" Stamp inked with Memento "Tuxedo Black" Ink and some rosy cheeks. I added a small bow made from some "Blossom" Twinery Twine and centered it with a small pearl.

I hope you are still with me and have enjoyed my SPRING EGG SHAPED CARD using just some of the wonderful products you can find at Shop Pumpkin Spice.

Shop Pumpkin Spice March Blog Hop & Challenge #9 - 3D Leprechaun Hat

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Shop Pumpkin Spice's March 2013 Blog Hop!

March is HERE and you can already start to get hints of the Fresh Spring smell in the air. Retail & Paper Crafting Stores are putting out all the Easter displays, the Sneaky Little Leprechauns are getting ready to leave GREEN marks all around, and in some places you can even see some GREEN sprouts showing. I just LOVE March!

If you've come from Heather's Blog - Houses Built of Cards, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Shop Pumpkin Spice March 2013 Blog Hop, start HERE.

Each Design Team Member will be featuring an original project using products found at the Shop Pumpkin Spice Store. Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration!

In addition, its time for ShopPumpkinSpice's Weekly Challenge #9!!

Thi week's challenge is all about the GREEN + FOUR(4) OF SOMETHING! Simply make a project that makes you think of GREEN and includes FOUR(4) OF SOMETHING!

But be sure to FINISH the Blog Hop first. :)

~*~

In the month of March when you hear GREEN you can't help but think of St. Patrick's Day, so I chose to create a 3D Leprechaun's Hat for my SPS March 2013 Blog Hop project.

This 3D Leprechaun's Hat also serves as a little St. Patrick's Day Treat Holder and opens to reveal the "hidden treasure" - Sneaky Little Leprechaun. ;)

I used the "Small Hat" cut on the Cricut Independence's Day 3D Projects Digital Cartridge to create the 3D Leprechaun's Hat and turned it into a Treat Holder as well. In order to do this, the base was first cut from GREEN Core'dinations Cardstock at 3". The "lid"was then cut bigger at 3.5" so it would slide on and off from the backside of My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland "Christmas Trees" Patterned Paper - on sale at ShopPumpkinSpice. Don't you just LOVE when you can use up your Christmas papers on other projects? I DO!

The belt was cut from Bazzill "Beetle Black" Cardstock. To the buckle, I applied some Stickles "Golden Rod" Glitter to give it a nice shiny gold look.

I then gathered FOUR(4) GREEN - ok, there's five. But it started it out as FOUR(4) and then I tucked in another one - embellishments to tuck to the side of my 3D Leprechaun's Hat.

The "GREEN" Carnation Flower was made using the Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge from FOUR(4) different layers cut from Carta Bella's Natural White Linen Cardstock. The "Heart2" Flower was cut at 2.5" twice, 1.75" and 1.5" and layered together.

I then painted the edges with some GREEN Acrylic Paint and added some GREEN "Eucalyptus" Stickles Glitter to make it resemble the many faux St. Patrick's Day Carnations flowers I've seen at the stores. Behind it I tucked in FOUR(4) Gold Berries and some GREEN Glitter Tulle.

I then added a GREEN - not only for the color, but GREEN because I "recycled" it from a flower arrangement from last year's St. Patrick's Day - Shamrock Pick.

Lastly, I added a handmade Shamrock Pick with a Rub-On St. Patrick's Day Sentiment I had in my stash.

What better place to hide your Gold Coins then inside your 3D Leprechaun's Hat?! Sneaky Little Leprechaun! ;)

I hope you are still with me and have enjoyed my 3D Leprechaun's Hat using just some of the wonderful products you can find at Shop Pumpkin Spice.

Your next stop is Court from Court's Crafts. Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to Shop Pumpkin Spice's GREEN + FOUR(4) OF SOMETHING Weekly Challenge to be entered to win this week's prize!

I'd LOVE to hear what you think of my 3D Leprechaun's Hat so be sure to leave me a comment.

I absolutely LOVE these papers - the Browns, the Pinks with a touch of Light Blue. To go with these colors, I used some Bazzill Kraft Cardstock and Bazzill Chocolate Cream Cardstock as the base of my card.

The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on to Carta Bella's Natural White Linen Cardstock. I just have to tell you that Carta Bella's Natural White Linen Cardstock has become my FAVORITE and GO TO cardstock!! I just LOVE the texture, its just PERECT - even for stamping!!

I then tied some "Cappuccino" Baker's Twine around the sentiment block and made a small bow for underneath the Prima Mulberry Rose.

My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #86 - Let Me Count the Ways...

Hello Everyone!

Valentine's Day is THIS Thursday!! Yes, THIS Thursday! And this week's My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #86 is all about YOUR SWEETHEART! Simply create a NEW - no backlinking, please - card, layout, project, gift, etc. FOR YOUR SWEETHEART.

Hubby and I don't do the BIG COMMERICIAL Valentine's Day thing. We keep things simple and easy. I make him a special Valentine's Day Breakfast before work and tuck in a sweet Valentine Note with his lunch. He brings me a Single Rose when he gets home. And if we do decide to go out we left it for the week after when the restaurants aren't JAMMED PACK.

This year, I made my SWEETHEART a quick card letting him know how much I Love Him using some of  My Craft Spot's Stamp Sets and a Bitty Bag.

I do have to admit that it didn't quite turn out like I had hoped. It might have something to do with the fact that I wanted to keep it masculine and clean - meaning NO SEWING, NO RIBBON, NO FLOWERS, NO GLITTER. And in my attempt to do so I ended up with a color combination of White, Black, Grey, and Red - papers are from the My Mind's Eye Ruby Paper Pad. Love the Papers, just NOT my card - that reminds me an awful lot of Mickey Mouse.

Back to the card....I used the older Deconstructed Sketch #76.

I replaced the rectangle behind the tag with the "Red Chevron" Bitty Bag - available at My Craft Spot.

I stamped the "Let Me Count the Ways..." Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Always & Forever" Stamp Set and tucked it underneath a button and some "Black Licorice" Twine - available at My Craft Spot.

From inside the Bitty Bag pulls out a tag cut from the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook at 2-5/8". I made a quick outline with a black pen and stamped the "How do I love thee?" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Always & Forever" Stamp Set.

I stapled a small piece of My Craft Spot's "Midnight Black" Crinkle Ribbon to the tag.

I then used the numbers from the My Craft Spot "Chunky Alphabet" Stamp Set to stamp the numbers #1 - 4. Each number will include a special reason why I love my SWEETHEART. Now, I don't only love my hubby for FOUR reasons, but its all that would fit in the tag - LOL! And that's what the inside of the card is for.

For the inside, I used the My Craft Spot "Build A Valentine" Stamp Set to stamp the "Happy Valentine's Day" Sentiment.

I hope you have enjoyed my SWEETHEART's Card and that he likes it, as I have mixed feelings about it.

NOW, its YOUR turn! Link up YOUR SWEETHEART'S project to the My Craft Spot Blog by Monday, February 18th 11:59 MST for your chance to win this week's prize.
