Cardstock Warehouse - DIY Teacher Appreciation Flower Gift Card Bouquet

Hello ScrappinCookie Fans!

I'm here today to share with you a project I put together for Cardstock Warehouse in honor of our hard working teachers. Teacher Appreciation Week runs from May 6th thru May 12th this year. This fun Flower Gift Card Bouquet holds a gift card inside each Rose and serves as a Décor piece long after the gifts cards have been used.  It is sure to let any teacher know just how thankful you are they helped your child GROW and BLOOM.

Yellow Rose using Cardstock Warehouse Lemon Drop Paper.
Blue Rose using Cardstock Warehouse Adriatic Paper.
Orange Rose using Cardstock Warehouse Orange Fizz Paper.
Red Rose using Cardstock Warehouse Red Hot Paper.

To create the flowers, I used the My Scrap Chick Rose File. These Roses are made up of 5 layers and each layer has 2 equally sized parts. I first inked my Rose edges, then rolled up the edges using a round object - such as a pen, glue stick, etc. Once all my edges were rolled up, I placed a Glue Dot in the center of one of the equally sized petal parts and then overlapped the two, repeating for all five layers. I then adhered all the layers together using a Glue Dot. To the center of each Rose, I added a small twined button.

Blue Rose uses Cardstock Warehouse Adriatic Blue paper.

I took the largest layer and turned it into one solid shape, so I would be able to create my Gift Card Pockets - you need Three(3) of these solid flowers. To create the Flower Gift Card Pockets, I placed a Gift Card on a Flower layer, about ¾” to 1” above the edge. Placed foam adhesive all around the gift card and glued the Second Flower layer on top, “sandwiching” the Gift Card inside. I painted some wooden dowels green and adhered them to the back of my Gift Card pocket with some hot glue. Added some adhesive around the stem and adhered the Third Flower layer.

Red Rose using Cardstock Warehouse Red Hot paper.
I used the My Scrap Chick Doodle Leaves to add some leaves to my Rose Stems. I ran these thru my Xyron Sticker Maker and used hot glue to adhere to the back of the stems.

For my Flower Container, I used the top portion of the My Scrap Chick Uncle Sam Hat Box and cut it out using Cardstock Warehouse Black Licorice Paper. I added some panels cut from the Doodlebug Design Back to School Collection. I placed a piece of Floral Styrofoam inside to keep the Rose Stem in place. I added my Roses - took me a few pokes to find just the right placement - and added some green paper shreds to hide the Floral Styrofoam.

Orange Rose using Cardstock Warehouse Orange Fizz Paper.

I finished off my Gift Card Flower Bouquet, by tying some ribbon around the container and adding a "Happy Teacher Appreciation Day" Sentiment from the Jaded Blossom School Time Greeting Stamp Set stamped on some Cardstock Warehouse White Sweet Tooth Paper.

Now, it’s your turn to make your own Gift Card Flower Bouquet. These would also be great for any occasion, such as Mother’s Day, Graduation, Birthdays, etc. Simply change the colors to your flowers!

ISO: Scrappy Moms Terrific Teachers Stamp Set...

Hello Everyone!

Sorry for the lack of projects. Its been a bit busy around the house. I'm here today to ask for a bit of help. I'm looking for an older stamp set from 2014. 😳 I’m looking for “Terrific Teachers” by  Scrappy Moms Stamps and unfortunately, they went out of business a few years ago. However, I still like their sets and would like to add the "Terrific Teachers" to my collection. So, if you happen to have this set and would like to part with it and sell it, please leave me a comment with a way to contact you.

Thank You so much for visiting my blog and following my work! ❤️

My Scrap Chick - Some Bunny Sweet Lollipop Holders | Happy Easter!

Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone has a very special day together with their friends and family.
Easter sure did come up quickly and I just couldn't let pass by without playing around with the My Scrap Chick Bunny Lollipop Holders. I just LOVE the way they turned out! They were so EASY and QUICK to put together. I was done in less than 1 Hour!
I did downsize the file just a little bit, so that the scalloped window would have a better fit around my lollipop. I first cut them out of Cardstock Warehouse Paper - Banana Split, Blu Raspberry, and Pink Lemonade - and then I re-cut only the front part in some Doodlebug Design Petite Print Paper.
To the Girl Bunnies, I added a small flower from the "Miss Cottontail" Spring Bunnies My Scrap Chick File.
The adorable little Bunny Faces are from the Jaded Blossom Bunny Faces Stamp Set. I tied it closed with matching twine and added a Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Die stamped with a sentiment from the Jaded Blossom Easter Treats 2 Stamp Set.
I couldn't forget to add a fluffy white cottontail to the backs. How cute is that?!
These would be great Party Favors at ANY Spring Party or gathering, not only Easter!
Thanks for stopping by!

Jaded Blossom Guest Designer - Easter Egg Basket

Hello Everyone!
Today marks my last day as Jaded Blossom's March 2018 Guest Designer. Such a sad day! I've had such a wonderful time all month long with the Release and Guest Designer Days. A very special THANK YOU to Candace and Michelle for having me on the blog!
For my last project, I decided to do something with an Easter theme since tomorrow is Easter Day! I started out with the "Flower Egg Basket" from My Scrap Chick and cut it out using Cardstock Warehouse Berrylicious Paper.
I used various patterned papers from the Doodlebug Design Bunnyville and Easter Express Collections. I skipped out on the "flowers" included in the file and instead used the Chevron Borders and Doodle Borders from My Scrap Chick to turn it into a boyish basket.
I wanted to personalize the basket for a special little boy, so I die-cut the name out of craft foam using the Jaded Blossom Alphabet Dies. I just love the way it turned out! The dies cut right through the foam beautifully.
To the handle, I added a cluster of tags. I stamped the "An Easter Treat for You" from the Monthly Spotlight Stamp Set Easter Treats 2 onto a Mini Tag Dies. I then layered that on top of a tag from Jaded Blossom Sweet Treats Die stamped with the "Do Not Open" Sentiment from the Jaded Blossom Bunny Mail Set.
- If you haven't already gotten your Jaded Blossom Easter Treats 2 Stamp Set,
RUN to the store - its ONLY on sale until TONIGHT! -
Even though tomorrow is Easter, you still have time to put a quick Easter treat together. Jaded Blossom makes it so easy with all their stamps and dies!
I had such a WONDERFUL time!
THANK YOU for all the kind and sweet comments left on my blog, facebook and Instagram throughout the month of March!

Bunny Poop Treat Bags | Treat Bag Tutorial

Hello Everyone!
Easter is fast approaching and I'm here today to show you a cute Easter Bunny Poop Treat Bag I put together. I even have a quick tutorial for you at the end of this post, so be sure to scroll all the way down.
About 4 days ago, I posted a beautiful Spring Palette on my Instagram - ScrappinCookie -  page using Cardstock Warehouse papers. In case you missed it, here it is. Aren't the colors just so beautiful and cheery?
I used this beautiful Spring Palette as inspiration to create my Bunny Poop Treat Bags. I used the My Scrap Chick Harvest Treat Bags and turned them into an Easter holder by cutting them in Cardstock Wareshouse Berrylicious, Sour Apple and Banana Split papers.
Although My Scrap Chick files come with a handy PDF File for hand-cutting, you can create your own treat bags without the need of an electronic die-cutting machine.  Just follow these easy steps to create your own Treat Bag:
  • You will need a Paper Trimmer, Cardstock Warehouse Paper(12x12), Scoring Tool(ScorePal, Scoring Blade, etc), Bone Folder, Decorative Border Punch, and Velcro Dots.

    Take a 12x12 piece of cardstock and cut into a 3.5" x 11.75" strip.

    Score at 1.75", 6.25", and 7.75".

Using your Decorative Border Punch, punch a border to the top of the cardstock, closest to the 1.75" score mark.
  • Fold and Score all scorelines using your Bone Folder for a clean and crisp fold.
  • Add your Velcro Dots to the center on the inside top lid and outside panel.
  • Your Treat Bag is now ready for embellishment and candy!
I added some mat layers using the  Jaded Blossom Stitched Square Dies to my treat bags and then added the adorable My Scrap Chick "Carrot Feet" Bunny from the Spring Bunnies Files. His face is from the Peachy Keen Kitty, Bird and Mice 1-1/8th Faces.
I used the older version of the Jaded Blossom Bunny Poop(revamped) Stamp Set on a Jaded Blossom Card Layer Dies 2 flag strip.
Inside the treat bag, I added a bag of M&M's Minis attached with a removable glue dot as my "Bunny Poop". To the lid, I added a Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Dies stamped with the "Just Scooped for You" from the same older Bunny Poop(revamped) Stamp Set. To keep it all closed, I used a Velcro Dot closure.
I hope to have inspired you to create your own Bunny Poop Treat Bags. You still have time!
