Halloween Treat Box

Let me start off by saying that I am NOT a Candy Corn fan. With that said, I present to you my FIRST Candy Corn box. Photobucket Do you see something wrong? The colors and sizes are all off!! Its suppose to be white, orange, yellow – with orange having the biggest piece. I don’t know why I always mix up the color order. Could it be that maybe not all candy corns are the same? Some are missing the white tip; others are only orange & white or yellow & white. So in the end, I think my candy corn is very cute and unique. However, being the semi-perfectionist that I am, I did it again - this time the correct way.

Now let me tell you where the inspiration for this candy corn treat box came from. I’ve been in a Halloween mood lately – which is very weird for me. So, while browsing through the Cricut Messageboard, I came along this treat box by MizEsther. Of course, it was made with a cart I don’t own, so I decided to recreate it with Plantin Schoolbook and its Best Friend, Doodlecharms. So without any further interruptions I give to you my version of the Candy Corn Treat Box.

  1. I also always get the colors on candy corn wrong. Some sort of mental block probably caused by too much indulgence as a child. Kinda like amnesia after trama. Still I can't wait to make these boxes, in all the wrong colors. TFS.

  12. Thank You for the nice comments everyone! I just wanted to tell you a bit more about the stamp sentiment. The stamp is actually a digital stamp that I colored in and added some Glossy Accent too. The stamp is called Halloween Sentiments and it came from Whimsie Doodles. I just love their stamps!!

  15. Just the cutest. Now, I have had DS on my computer for a while and I have not used it a lot...and I've never done a .cut file. I do intend on trying my first with this.... It was fun to see that my chandelier card was showing on the BBTB you are following.
PS, I always get the colors mixed up on Candy Corn.

  19. I saw your box & since I have TBBM I went straight in & made a candy corn box. It was rather tall & skinny and didn't look as good as yours. Thanks for sharing your file. I downloaded it & just finished making your candy corn box & it is so adorable! I have had DS for almost a year & cannot figure out how some of you ladies do what you do with it...AMAZING!! Thank You.
