ScrappinCookie

I ended the previous post talking about my dream space. So I thought I'd show you where I currently work.
Its located on the far right end corner of my living room. Its made up of an IKEA desk, a custom built hutch, and a folding table. The custom built shelves sit on top of the desk and house ALL my supplies. A total of 8 shelves:
*1 for rub-ons, over-sized letter stickers and some misc things
*1 for patterned paper & cardstock, sorted by color
*1 for more patterned paper, sorted by manufactor
*1 for buttons, stickles, and prima flowers
*1 for paints, chipboard pieces, large tools and large ribbons - all inside photo boxes
* 1 for photos, small ribbon, embellies(eyelets & brads) and cuttlebug/sizzix dies - all inside photo boxes
*1 for my cricut carts - organized alphabetically
*1 for my Lexmark P4350 Printer/Scanner/Copier and my Cuttlebug.
In the center of it all and directly in front of me, I have some IKEA drawers, which stores my everyday tools: inks, staples, craft knife, sanding paper, adhesives and pens. To the left of that is my Cutterpede trimmer and extra Cricut mats. To the right are some older & current magazines. On top of the IKEA drawers are some round tins and my sketch tin. Above is a cork board where I display some of my work, hang notes and keep track of how many layouts(LOs) I've completed.
My poor Cricut Expression sits on top of a toy shelf. I always feel like its secluded from the rest of my stuff, but the space is limited. However, I LOVE it dearly and don't know what I would do without it.
My HP laptop sits on a folding table. Another of my dear tools that doesn't have the space it deserves.
So without further interruption I present to you a picture of my space, so you can put it all together.

My Scrapbook Dreams

My biggest scrapbook dream would be to get published in a magazine; either it be paper or e-zine. Coming in 2nd would be to win a recognized cotest or challenge. Or being part of a Design Team. Lastly but not least I would love to have a room just for scrapping with LOTS of space and tables. I think most of my furniture would come from IKEA. I just LOVE that pace ofr office storage(DISCLAIMER: This is my personal opinion. You might not find this to be true). It would have LOTS of windows for natural light. I could go on & on but for now I have to deal with my little scrap desk - which I LOVE, btw.

About Me...

Time for a proper introduction. My name is Marlene and I'm 25 years old. I've been married for almost 6 years now. Together we have 2 handsome boys; DS#1 is almost 5 and DS#2 is almost 2. These two active little boys + the hubby take up most of my time, so I decided to become a SAHM. And I just LOVE IT! I get to be part of their daily experiences and see them grow up - which they are doin pretty quickly. Anybody know how to stop them?
Anyways, back to me. I have always been on the creative side but nothing really caught my FULL attention; cross-stitching, sewing, painting, etc. Until I discovered scrapbooking about 5 years ago(2004) while pregnant with DS#1. I loved and LOVE the idea of being able to do something creative and at the same time preserve the special times with my son - now children. But who knew I was going to be so bad at it!
Here I am, 5 years later owning every possible piece of patterned paper - not really - and yet I just finished DS#1's first year album!! Oh! and I haven't even started DS#2's album and he'll be 2 in June! I like to say that I can't find the time, but the truth is - I'm a complete HOADER! I love collecting supplies!

You may also see some of my chipboard albums or altered items for sale. These will be very rare occasions and one-of-a-kind pieces.
