Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Birthday Sundaes "Cake & Cupcakes Birthday Cards" Blog Hop!

Today is the LAST Sunday of the month - can you believe how fast the month went by? -  and with it comes a bittersweet post. Today we will be saying HELLO to FOUR NEW DT MEMBERS! - the sweet part - Welcome Ladies! With that said, my term as a Birthday Sundaes Designer has come to an end - the bitter part. I have truely enjoyed every moment of it and will be forever grateful to Kristie for giving me the chance to get to know her and the other DT Ladies, as well as being part of the FIRST BIRTHDAY SUNDAES Design Team.

To say FAREWELL to those who are departing and HELLO to those joining us, everyone at Birthday Sundaes has decided to have a CAKE & CUPCAKE Blog Hop! Each Design Team member will be featuring an original CAKE/CUPCAKE birthday card with a birthday greeting/sentiment of course!

If you've come from curret DT Member Sonia's Blog, then you're heading in the right direction. If you just happened to come across my blog and would like to play along with our CAKE/CUPCAKE BLOG HOP, start HERE.

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at some of our DT member's blogs, and there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at Birthday Sundaes for one participant that submits a CAKE/CUPCAKE birthday card and comments on ALL the blogs!

For my project, I created a SWEET BIRTHDAY CUPCAKE card.

I based the card on last week's Deconstructed Sketch #11.

I replaced the scalloped edge border with some ruffled 'Sky Blue' Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot. I fell in love with the idea when I saw a Deconstructed Sketch DT Member do something similar on her card.

Today's card was also inspired by this week's ColourQ Challenge #95. Absolutely LOVE the Owl Cookie Jar and the new SU! In-Colors are lovely.

If you follower my blog, you know I don't use SU! cardstock and normally resort to the closest colors I have. But this time I did something a bit different. I purchased a few digital papers from an Etsy Store called theart & design boutique and recolored them using Photoshop8.

For my A-dorable CUPCAKE, I used the Cricut Simply Charmed Cartridge. Can't remember the exact size I cut it at, but it must have been around 3". The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps "Sweet Somethings" stamp set.

I hope this "Sweet Birthday Cupcake" Birthday card has inspired you to join us in our "CAKES & CUPCAKES" plus a birthday sentiment challenge week!

Now, without further ado...your next stop is NEW DT Member Amy's Blog! If you should happen to get lost along the way, you can find the Blog Hop list over at the Birthday Sundaes Blog. Don't forget to leave comments along the way for your chance to win the GRAND PRIZE! The Hop ends Saturday, August 6th 11:59 EST. The winners will be announced on the Birthday Sundaes Blog on Wednesday, August 10th along with the Super Sundaes! So HOP on over to the next stop and GOOD LUCK!

Thanks for stopping by!

FCCB Spotlight Sunday - Scrappy Moms Stamps - No Place Like Gnome

Supplies Used:
Cricut Expression, Cricut Cartridges(Freshly Picked, Doodlecharms, Create A Critter), Bazzill Cardstock(Avalanche, BlackBird, Red Devil, Sandcastle, Tangelo, Whirlpool), DCVW Cardstock(green), Echo Park 'Walk in the Park' Collection, Jillibean Soup Twine, Cuttlebug Embossing Folders(Swiss Dots), Peachy Keen Stamps(PK - 754 Critter Faces Med.), Scrappy Moms Stamps(Quirky Quotes), Zig Black Pen, Signo White Pen.

Happy Sunday Everyone!

I come to you today with a FANTABULOUS Spotlight Sunday post. We are so excited to have SCRAPPY MOMS STAMPS for our Spotlight Sunday and Sponsor this week! Thats right, SCRAPPY MOMS STAMPS - so be sure to check our Challenge Me Monday post tomorrow.

Melanie and Tammy have been so nice and have generously donated their BRAND NEW, JUST RELEASED "QUIRKY QUOTES" Stamp Sets to SIX of our FANTABULOUS DESIGNERS! I had the pleasure to be one of the lucky designers and choose to use the "There's no place like Gnome!" from the BRAND NEW "QUIRKY QUOTES" set.

Gnomes are ALL the rage right now and I couldn't resist making my own Mr. Gnomeo and a cozy, little "Gnome" for him.

The Mushrooms, Picket Sign, and Mr. Gnomeo are from the Cricut Freshly Picked Cartridge. Mr. Gnomeo was cut at 3-5/8" and given a combination of two Peachy Keen 'Critter Faces' Face. The hat and shoes were embossed with the 'Swiss Dots' folder.

The Mushrooms were cut at 5" and paper pieced with Echo Park 'Walk in the Park' papers inspired by this week's ColourQ #93. I just LOVED the bright colors and think its what made my little "Gnome" come to life.

To create the "Door", I used the 'bbybag-s' (baby bag handle) from the Cricut Doodlecharms Cartridge. My original intentions were to have the "door" open, but it didn't quite work out.

The grass is from the Cricut Create A Critter Cartridge cut at 1-1/4". I don't have a size for the Picket Sign, - sorry - I forgot to save this last step and lost it. It was cut out twice, one being 1/2" smaller than the first. And to that, I stamped SCRAPPY MOMS STAMPS' "QUIRKY QUOTES - There's no place like Gnome!" sentiment.

All shadows were welded together using Cricut Design Studio and then I started adding layers to give the card - yes, it's a card - some dimension.

I hope you have enjoyed my "Gnome and Mr. Gnomeo". I had an absolutely great time making it.

NOW, be sure to head on over to today's FCCB's Spotlight Sunday post to learn a little bit more about Melanie and Tammy and to see FIVE more SCRAPPY MOMS STAMPS "QUIRKY QUOTES" projects!

Have a GREAT Day!

Thank You for stopping by and joining me for this week's Birthday Sundaes Challenge #18! This week we have an ANYTHING GOES challenge plus a Birthday Sentiment. We are also welcoming a new sponsor to Birthday Sundaes - Circle B Enterprises Scrapbooking. Veronica, owner of Circle B Enterprises Scrapbooking has generously donated a $20 Gift Card to her store. To learn more about Veronica, Circle B Enterprises Scrapbooking and this week's prize, pleaes visit the Birthday Sundaes Blog.

I'm my worst critic and am not completely happy with this week's ANYTHING GOES card. I feel like I'm always doing the same thing - I guess that must be my style, right?

I based the card on this week's Mojo Monday 199 Sketch. Replacing the second circle for a cluster of Roses.

The roses were hand-dyed to match this week's Color Throwdown #150. The smaller ones with 'Blue Jazz' Glimmer Mist and the larger one with a combo of water and paint. They were both sprayed with some 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist. The leaves are from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge cut at 1".

I used 'Spring Moss' Crinkled Ribbon from My Craft Spot - I just can't get enough of this ribbon. Added a 'Butrfly2' from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge cut at 3/4".

The sentiment is from the Stampin Up! Well Scripted - Digital - Set. I used PSE8 to recolor the stamp to a "Rose Red". The scalloped circle is from the Cricut Alphalicious Cartridge.

Now, it's YOUR TURN! Create an ANYTHING GOES Birthday Card - don't forget the Birthday Sentiment - and link it up by Saturday, July 23rd 11:59PM EST for your chance to win this week's prize and to be featured as a SUPER SUNDAE!

This week's Sentimental Sunday Challenge #64 is all about the MEN in our lives. Simply create a MASCULINE card/project plus a sentiment.

This week Sentimental Sundays is being sponsored by Dude Time Doodles. Dude Time Doodles carries all of the crazy "Dude" images and sentiments your MASCULINE cards need. For more information on Dude Time Doodles and this week's prize, please visit the Sentimental Sundays Blog.

Dude Time Doodles isn't only sponsoring us this week, but they have also provided the DT with some images/sentiment to work with. I went with Dude Time Doodles 'Builder 8 Sentiment' for my MASCULINE card!

I LOVED the sentiment the moment I saw it! Its soo true! Unfortunately, I feel I didn't do the sentiment justice. It seems my mojo has decided to go on vacation early and left me behind. LOL!

For today's MASCULINE card, I used last week's MFT WSC #27.

I used some The Paper Company "Measuring Tape" Ribbon and ruffled it up. The sentiment was colored in PSE8 to match the Jillibean Soup 'Minestrone' papers. The scalloped border was cut from the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge.

Now, it's YOUR TURN! Be sure to check the Sentimental Sundays Blog for more MASCULINE inspiration. And don't forget to link up your card  by Saturday, July 23rd 11:59PM EST for your chance to win this week's sponsored prize.

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #63 - Creating Yourself

Hi Again!

Today's Sentimental Sunday Challenge #63 is all about having INKY FINGERS! Simply create a project using some sort of unconventional stamping materials or techniques.

And trust me, I got some INKY FINGERS by the time I finished this card! My fingernails had a lovely shade of blue/green almost yellow shade to them.

I started by using this week's Mojo Monday 198 CONTEST Sketch.

I then used my Cricut Expression and Cricut Storybook Cartridge to cut out a 'Tulip2' at - sorry can't remember the size. Ran a piece of Bazzill 'Avalanche' cardstock thru my Cuttlebug using a Nestabilities Lg. Rectangle Die. The die-cut was then used as a mask and the cardstock was INKED with a combination of 'Pearl' & 'Blue Jazz' Glimmer Mist. Once the cardstock dried, I removed the die-cut leaving a white space. I then printed Inspirational Sentiment 6 - which was slightly altered in PSE8 -  from Raindrop Echo Designs' Inspirational Sentiments on top.

I replaced the star on the sketch for a double-loop bow made with 'Vanilla Bean' Crinkled Ribbon from My Craft Spot. I accented the bow with a cluster of three roses and a 'Branch2/FancyCorner' leaves. The blue roses were originally white and I INKED them with the same 'Pearl/Blue Jazz' Glimmer Mist, so they would match with the Basic Grey Cappella papers.

I felt the left side of the card needed a little something, so I cut out three 'Butrfly2' butterflies from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge at .50", .75" & 1" from vellum. I used a fine paintbrush to INK the edges of each butterfly with the 'Pearl/Blue Jazz' Glimmer Mist.

Before adhering it all down, I INKED the edges of all patterned papers and cardstock.

Now, its YOUR TURN! Don't forget to check out all the INKY FINGERS at Sentimental Sundays. Be sure to link up your INKY FINGERS card by Saturday, July 16th 11:59PM EST for your chance to win this week's prize.

Welcome to Birthday Sundaes Challenge #16! This week we have an ORANGE, GREEN & WHITE color combination challenge for you!  Simply create a card using these colors plus a Birthday Sentiment.

Once I saw this challenge, I immediately knew I had to use Basic Grey's Kioshi 'Mokuren' Paper. Its just the right shade of ORANGE, GREEN & WHITE

I kept my card rather simple, following the older Mojo Monday 197 Sketch. The scalloped frame was cut from the Cricut Accent Essentials Cartridge. I used some 'Spring Moss' Crinkled Ribbon from My Craft Spot.

I added a cluster of 3 Roses to the lower left corner. The two smaller roses were hand-dyed ORANGE and then sprayed with 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist. For the larger rose, I only dyed the outer edges to give it a two-tone rose look. I then added 'Frosted Lace' Stickles on top.

Underneath the roses, I added some 'Branch2' leaves from the Cricut Storybook Cartridge.

Now, its YOUR TURN! Be sure to check out the Birthday Sundaes Challenge Blog for more inspiration. And don't forget to link up your ORANGE, GREEN & WHITE birthday cards by Saturday, July 16th 11:59PM MST for your chance to be a SUPER SUNDAE!
