Pin It Now!

Cricut Experssion, Cricut Design Studio, FlowerPot Card_ScrappinCookie cut file, Cloud 9 'Be Loved' Paper, The Paper Company cardstock, Cuttlebug 'Swiss Dots', 'Divine Swirls' Embossing Folder, Valentines Cards I WordArt by Bethany, Dove Heart Chocolates, Misc - Ribbon.

Since these Flower Pot Cards came out in 2009, I've been wanting to try them out. I finally got the chance last Valentine when I created a cut file for the card.

The flowers are from Plantin SchoolBook in 3 different sizes to give a layered effect. The leaves are from Accent Essentials and the heart is from Doodlecharms. I used my Cuttlebug and Embossing Folders to give the petals and heart some texture.

The idea to place the Dove Heart Chocolates in the center of the heart and flowers came from Andrea  Walford's Valentine Bouquet from Sunny Stampin. For the sentiment, I used one of Bethany's WordArt from Elegant WordArt by Bethany.

I love the way the card turned out and plan to use the file again for Mother's Day, so stay tuned.

2 In 1: MatchBox Cards

Pin It Now!

The Paper Company Cardstock, Pink Cat Studio Digital Stamp, Valentine Cards I WordArt by Bethany, Crayola Color Pencils, Baby Oil, Sweethearts Candy

Here's a quick little project that can be whipped up for your childs' classmates, co-workers, or friends. The inspiration for these 2  In 1 MatchBox Cards came from Teri's Spider Box. I thought it was a perfect way to get a valentine note & treat done at the sametime.

For the MatchBox cover, I took a 10.313" piece of cardstock and scored at .5", 3.063", 4.125", 6.688", and 7.75".

Add a piece of Red Line Tape/Sticky Strip to the 1/2" tab.

Take the tab and fold it inward towards the 1st scoreline.

This forms the cover the drawer will fit into.

For the drawer, take a 5.5" x 4.5" piece of cardstock and score at 1"  on all sides. Apply a piece of Red Line Tape/Sticky Strip to the four corners. For this tutorial I used Double Sided Tape, but for the original boxes I used a stronger tape.  Cut a slit on each corner's scoreline.

Form the box and slide into the cover you made previously.

Decorate the lid and card's inside as desired.

One these Matchbox Cards, I used the Boy LuvBot digital stamp from Pink Cat Studio. And since these were meant for my son's Kindergarten - yes, another late project - friends I had him color in the stamp.

The "Happy Hearts Day" sentiment comes from the Valentines Cards I WordArt pack by Bethany.

I filled the drawers with sweetheart confectioner's candy.

'Twitterpated' Collection, ValentineSayings WordArt_ScrappinCookie, Nestabilities Lg Rectangles Dies, 3D Pop-Dots, Signo White Pen, Misc - Ribbon, Chalk

For today, I have a quick set of 3x3 Valen-tiny Cards. These are quick and easy to put together - perfect for the kids' classmates, co-workers, etc. I used papers from Pebbles Inc. Twitterpated Collection. And the cute sayings are from my Valentine Sayings WordArt pack, available at my Etsy Store.

The sailbot was cut from Paper Dolls Dress Up at 3". I cut it out 4 different times and then pieced it together.

The Lemon was cut from Simply Charmed at 1.5". I removed the facial expressions using Design Studio.

The Ice Cream Cone was cut from Simply Charmed at 1.5". I removed the facial expressions using Design Studio.

The Loaf of bread was cut from Paper Dolls Dress Up at 3.75". I then used my kraft knife to cut out the "slices".

The Pail & Shovel were cut from Simply Charmed at 1.5" and the facial expressions were removed using Design Studio.

The Dinosaur was cut from Paper Dolls Dress Up at 1.25".

The slice of Pizza was cut from Simply Charmed at 1.5", again removing the facial expressions with Design Studio.

For the apple, I used a few layers. It was cut out using the shadow feature at 1.5". The inside(cream cardstock) was cut again in the shadow feature but at 1.25" so I could layer it. The seeds are from the Doodlecharms Watermelon.

The crayon comes from Simply Charmed at 2" with the facial expressions removed.

The puppy face comes from Doodlecharms and was cut at 1.5"

This adorable mushroom comes from Simply Charmed and was cut at 1.5". Again facial expressions removed.

ALL sentiments come from my Valentine Sayings WordArt pack.

Treat Card Box

Since I first saw this style of card on Becky's blog - Inking Idaho, I've been meaning to try it. I finally got a chance to create a cut file for the card and just in time for Valentines.  I think this is a perfect little gift set. You basically get 2 for the price of 1. One half is a card and the other is a sweet little treat. Fill the box with your candy, chocolate or gift of choice.

The treat box card is designed using the Plantin SchoolBook cartridge. The card portion measures 3" x 5" and holds a 3.75" tag, also from Plantin SchoolBook. The treat box measures 1.25" x 5" and holds 4 Ferrero Rocher truffle chocolates. It can also big enough to several pieces of Hershey Nuggets, Lindt Chocolates, and other candies. The cut file contains 3 different versions of the card. For this one, I used the "Treat Box Card - Plain" tab.  To see the different versions of the card, stay tuned.

I adorned the card with the "Heart;Shadow" from the Doodlecharms cartridge embossed with the Swiss Dots folder and the "Marquee2" from the Storybook cartridge. I used a wordart sentiment from Elegant WordArt by Bethany to finish the card.

Nugget Holder 1pc

Cricut Expression, Cricut Design Studio, Nugget Holder1_ScrappinCookie CUT File, Bazzill "Red Devil" Cardstock, Cloud 9 "Be Loved" Collection, Hershey Miniature Nuggets, Misc - Ribbon

Another post taht was long time coming. This 8pc. Hershey Miniature Nugget Holder was also designed 3 years ago! It was my son's Pre-K Teacher's Aid Valentine Treat.

For this nugget holder I designed a 1 piece box with an opening to view the inside contents. The opening was covered with an acetate sheet and bordered with the "Accent48" Frame from Accent Essentials.

Again, I wrapped each nugget with matching pattern paper.

I also used this Nugget Holder to make a quick Thank You gift for a Kindergarten Teacher Aid. To see more on this project go to Thank You Gift Set.

Love You Much

Cricut Expression, Doodlecharms Cartridge, Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge, Bazzill "Blackbird" "Berry Blush" "Dusk" Cardstock, The Paper Compnay Cardstock(white), Cloud 9 "Be Loved" Collection, SU! Well Scripted Digital Stamp Set, Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch, Nestabilities Lacey Circles Dies, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots Folder, American Craft Ribbon

Another quick and simple card. Completed card measures 4" x 5.5". The Heart-Flowered Rose was made from the Stretch Your Imagination and Doodlecharms Cartridges. I used the "Flrsh1" from Stretch Your Imagination and then layered the "Heart; Shadow" from Doodlecharms on top.

The papers are from an older Cloud 9 collection called "Be Loved". The sentiment on the upper right-hand is from the digital version of the SU! Well Scripted stamp set.

I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Lg Lacey Circles to mat the Nestabilities Lg Circle the rose sits on. I used a strip of the Martha Stewart Doily Lace punch across the card.

The card is based on the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #99. And the colors were inspired by the There She Goes Color Challenge #89.

The inside of the card was left blank. This card could be used for Valentine's, Anniversary, or just to say I Love You!

All-In-One Box

Cricut Expression, Cricut Design Studio, All-In-One Box_ScrappinCookie cut file, Accent Essentials Cartridge, Plantin SchoolBook Cartridge, Mini Monograms Cartridge, Cloud 9 'Be Loved' Collection, The Paper Company Cardstock (red, white), Misc - Ribbon

For you today, I have what was going to be one of my Christmas projects. All I've done to change it from holiday was to use a Valentine themed paper. Thats how versatile this project is.

I find this to be the perfect packaging box. With measurements of 2 5/8" x 2 5/8" x 4", it can hold almost anything you want. From several pieces of candy to a cupcake. From an altered candle to an ornament, which is exactly what I have inside this box. And the 2.25" window opening allows the recipient to get a sneak peek of what is inside before opening the box.

For this project, I used the "Scalloped/Holes" lid. The cut file actually brings 4 lid options. Using this one I was able to pass the ribbon between the holes creating a loop underneath the lid where the ornament is suspended by an ornament hook.

One of the other lids includes two slits on each side end of the lid so a ribbon can be passed around the entire box.
