Hi Again!

This week's My Craft Spot Monday Challenge is all about RIBBON. Simply use RIBBON somewhere in your project.

You might recognize this Letter "A" frame from my FCCB Challenge Me Monday #79 - FALL LEAVES Challenge. I just couldn't help myself and needed to add some of Kimberly's GORGEOUS Crinkled RIBBON to aleast one of the frames.

I used some of My Craft Spot's "Harvest Wine" & "Pumpkin Spice" Crinkled RIBBON from the "Color of Autumn" Bundle Set. I just love how these two colors match perfectly and give a warm feel.

To see more of my FALL Frames, please scroll down or click HERE.

Ok, NOW its your turn! Create a project with RIBBON and link it up to My Craft Spot by Sunday, October 2nd 11:59PM EST for your chance to win this week's prize.

FCCB Challenge Me Monday #79 - FALL Frames

Happy Monday Everyone!

Last Friday, September 23rd was the official start of the Fall season for many of us on the Northern Hemisphere - I think. You can already start to feel a few cooler breezes, the smell of fresher air and the leaves start to fall. And that is why this week's Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday #79 is all about FALLING LEAVES!

I started out with a GREAT idea to make an altered frame - of sorts - with LOTS of cruchy FALLEN LEAVES. But as I went along the frames started taking a life of their own and didn't quite turn out how I had planned. However, I was able to fit quite a few different LEAVES in there.

In the "F" frame, I made a cluster of 4 different LEAVES. Can you tell what cartridges I used? If you guessed Accent Essentials(red), Create-A-Critter(center floral), and Doodlecharms(orange, green, yellow, blue) then you're right. These were cut at around 2", inked edges, doodled and then wrinkled for a "crunchy" look. The little acorns are also from the Create-A-Critter cartridge, cut at about 1-1/2".

The individual letters were cut from the Pooh Font cartridge at 4-1/8".

For the "A" Frame, I used some of My Craft Spot's "Harvest Wine" & "Pumpkin Spice" Crinkled Ribbon from the "Color of Autumn" Bundle Set. I just love how these two colors match perfectly and give a warm feel. I added a LEAF brad I had in my stash to the center.

Please scroll up for My Craft Spot Monday Challenge #26 - RIBBON or click HERE.

LOVE the papers you are seeing? Well, they all came in Artful Delight's September Kit! The kit includes the entire paper line of Crate Paper's Farmhouse Collection, a few sheets of the Jillibean Soup Apple Cheddar Collection, coordinating Bazzill Cardstock, and soo soo much more.

Just look at the ADORABLE pumpkin embellishment Delightful Designer Debbie created and is included in the kit. All I did was add a few extra LEAVES from the Doodlecharms Cartridge and some Lt. Green Memory Thread.

There is currently ONE September Kit left, so hurry on over to the Artful Delight Store for your kit now.

Each letter was adhered with some Homemade Dimensionals so they would stand out a bit more.

Ok, NOW its your turn! Create a project with a LEAVES and link it up to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog by Sunday, October 2nd 11:59PM EST for your chance to win this week's prize.

Again, I apologize for the very dark pictures. Its been raining here for the past two days and there is only MORE rain in the forecast for the rest of this weekend. I haven't been able to get a decent picture.
~*~

When I learned today's challenge was a KRAFT, PINK & WHITE Color Combo, I knew I had to use the Crate Paper 'Handpicked' patterned paper included in the Artful Delight 'September' Kit. Its ABSOLUTELY beautiful!

I decided to combined it with yesterday's TIC TAC TOE CHALLENGE

and added two buttons to my card. Don't forget that ALL challenges are open 'til September 30th, so there is plenty of time to join in.

Do you see that GORGEOUS crochet lace ribbon under my KRAFT button? Well, it was included in the 'September' Kit!! I just LOVE it!

This card is based on the Viva La Verve! September Week3 Sketch.

I also had soo much fun playing along with the September Diva Dare - Case - A - Diva, that I had to play again. I ended up CASING Diva Amy Sheffer's - again - Love at First Sip Card. I LOVED her distressed edges and how her sentiment mat fell outside of the card.

The sentiment was a FREEBIE provided by Ann from Raindrop Echo Designs at the Sentimental Sundays Blog some time ago. I used Photoshop to recolor the sentiment in KRAFT and PINK.

The beautiful "Cappuccino" colored Baker's Twine is from My Craft Spot.

For the inside, I went with a much simpler design than normal.

I apologize for the very dark pictures. Its been raining here for the past two days and there is only MORE rain in the forecast for the rest of this weekend. I haven't been able to get a decent picture.

I based my FALL THEMED card on yesterday's SKETCH CHALLENGE. There's still time to play, so be sure to visit the Artful Delight Blog.
All these BEAUTIFUL FALL papers from the Jillibean Soup "Apple Cheddar Soup" Collection are included in the September Artful Delight Kit. There are still a few kits left, so don't wait any longer to get yours. Visit the Artful Delight Store now.

I opted to use some Jillibean Soup Corrugated Alpha's in KRAFT since I missed out on the American Thickers included with the September Kit.

I used my Fiskars "Threading Water" BORDER PUNCH to punch out a strip of the Crate Paper 'Farmhouse' "Farmers Market" paper.

My FAVORITE part of this FALL card, is the GORGEOUS Sunflower Embellishment(included in the kit) created by Delightful Designer Debbie!

It has a total of 4 Layers and two Recollection Leaves. All edges are inked and its ABSOLUTELY beautiful. I simply added a few pearls from my stash for an extra touch.

I complete the inside for that special feel touch.

Here is the FIRST challenge of this 3-Day Blog Hop!

A Sketch Challenge.

And here is my take on it.

Supplies Used:
Artful Delight "September" Kit, Cricut Expression, Cricut Cartridges(Mickey Font), Bazzill Cardstock(Sea Salt), Pebbles Inc. Mini ABC Stickers, My Craft Spot(Lt. Blue Baker's Twine), Heidi Swapp Distresser, Saukra White Gel Pen, Misc. - Brown Pen.

Don't you just LOVE the papers?! They ALL came with the Artful Delight "September" Kit(except for the Bazzill Sea Salt Cardstock - blue). Its JAM-PACKED with the Crate Paper 'Farmhouse' Collection AND the Jillibean Soup 'Apple Cheddar Soup' Collection. There are still a few kits left, so don't wait any longer to get yours. Visit the Artful Delight Store now.

Just look at this ADORABLE scalloped embellishment created by Delightful Designer Debbie. All I did was add some white doodling and a twined-button. The crochet lace ribbon also came in the Artful Delight 'September' Kit.

The title was cut using my Cricut Expression and the Cricut Mickey Font from the Bazzill "Barkley" Cardstock included in the kit. I also used some Pebbles Inc. Mini ABC Stickers from my stash.

I couldn't leave a project of mine without some dimension. I added some of my Homemade Dimensionals to the smaller photo and tucked a piece of the Crate Paper 'Farmhouse' Border Stickers from the Artful Delight's 'September' Kit.

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #73 - Thought of You

Supplies Used:
Cricut Expression, Cricut Cartridge(Plantin Schoolbook), Cricut Markers(Lt. Brown), Bazzill Cardstock(Quicksand), The Paper Company Cardstock(Whipped Cream), American Craft 'Garden Cafe' Collection(Cafe Iris - Floral), Jillibean Soup "Minestrone Soup" Collection(Elbow Macoroni - Polka Dots), Pebbles Inc. "Fresh Goods" Collection(Mom & Pop - Grid),  Hero Arts "Old Letter Writing" Digital Stamps(script), Nestabilities(LG. Lacey Circles, LG Circles), My Craft Spot("Cappuccino" Baker's Twine), Verve Stamps(Small Phrases), Misc - Rose. Finished Size: 4.25" x 5.5"

~*~

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Today's Sentimental Sunday Challenge #73 is all about going MONOCHROMATIC! Simply use monochromatic colors in your creations. It could be a one color - color scheme, only neutrals, or a mixing of similar shades of color. Its all up to you!

This was a first for me. I've never done a MONOCHROMATIC creation before and was a little skeptical as how it was going to turn out, so I opted to go with ONLY NEUTRALS. As the card started to come together, I felt more at ease and LOVED the card.

This card is also based on a few challenge going on at Verve Stamps.

I combined it with this week's Verve's September Diva Dare Day1 - Case-A-Diva. I choose to CASE Diva Amy Sheffer's - who coincidentally created the sketch above - Dream Big card. I fell in love with her layered paper rosette and had to create my own.

I used the Cricut Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge to create the tags. The brown outline was drawn by the Cricut using the Cricut Markers. I simply used Design Studio to size another tag 1/2" smaller than what I wanted to tag to be.

The sentiment is from the "Simple Phrases" by Verve Stamps.

And the "Cappuccino" Baker's Twine is from My Craft Spot.

No card of mine would be complete without a finished inside.

Now, it's YOUR turn! Be sure to check the Sentimental Sundays Blog for more MONOCHROMATIC inspiration. And don't forget to link up your card by Saturday, September 24th 11:59PM EST for your chance to win this week's sponsored prize.

~*~

This MONOCHROMATIC card will also be entered into the following challenges:

Whimsie Doodles "Meet the Divas" Blog Hop - Mr. Frankie

Hi Everyone!

Back on August 30th, I announced my acceptance into the Whimsie Doodles Design Team and since then I've been so excited and "patiently" waiting today - September 15th.

If you've come from Laura's Blog, then you're heading in the right direction. If you just happened to come across my blog and would like to play along with our "Meet the Divas" Blog Hop, start HERE.

To get to know the NEWEST Doodlelicious Divas, we at Whimsie Doodles have decided to answer "5 Doodlelicious Things About Me...." for our followers. So we invite you to join us in our "Meet the Divas" Blog Hop! Be sure to visit everyone's blog to give them a WARM welcome to the Whimsie Doodles Family.

Each Design Team member will be featuring an original project using this month's ADORABLE new images. Leave them a little comment love along the way and then head back to the Whimsie Doodles Blog for your chance to win ONE of the September Images!

DOODLELICIOUS DIVA - MARLENE

5 Doodlelicious Things About Me....

1. My first papercrafts project was......
a Hershey Park Family Vacation Album.  Not a scrapbook, but an album. I was in High School and took a Family Vacation with my parents. I purchased one of those magnetic Photo Albums(remember those?) from Walgreens and just added the photos with a few pieces of memorabilia.

2. When I'm not papercrafting, I enjoy....spending time with my two boys - ages 4 & 7 - and husband of 8 years. My kids seem to grow up soo much faster than all the other kids I know, so I like to spend as much time as I can with them. My little one just started Pre-School a few days ago, I must have cried a rivered! I wish they could stay little for a bit longer.

3. My favorite Whimsie Doodles image is....
this is TRULY a hard one! I can't decide! I LOVE all of Melyssa's whimsy images. I've been a HUGE fan since she first introduced Whimsie Doodles and always thought my coloring wasn't good enough for her ADORABLE images.

4. My favorite papercrafting technique is...
Inking Edges, Matting, Distressing, ooOh...just too many. I don't use them all together, it depends on the card and the "feel" I'm going for.

5. My favorite embellishment is....
CRINKLED RIBBON! Absolutely LOVE that thing since Kimbery from My Craft Spot(wink wink) introduced me to it. Now, I just can't get enough of it. It seems to go into almost every project I do.

~*~

Are you still with me?

If you are, I hope you are enjoying learning a little bit more about me. But its now time for my FIRST Whimsie Doodles DT project!

Supplies Used:
Cricut Expression, Cricut Cartridge(Plantin Schoolbook), Bazzill Cardstock(Blackbird), The Paper Company Cardstock(White), Target $1 Spot Patterned Paper, Whimsie Doodles Digital Stamps(Mr. Frankie, Halloween Button Sentiments), PrismaColor Pencils(PC912, PC913, PC917, PC918, PC929, PC932, PC935, PC938, PC949), Nestabilities(LG. Ovals), American Crafts "Garden Cafe" Button, My Craft Spot(Orange Licorice Twine), Stickles(Frosted Lace). Finished Card Size: A2(4.25" x 5.5").

As soon as I saw Melyssa had an ADORABLE Mr. Frankie image in the September Whimsie Doodles Release, I knew I had to color him.

He was colored using my PrismaColor Pencils. For his body I used a combo of Apple Green - PC912 - and Spring Green - PC913. For the vest, I used Orange - PC918- and Sunburst Yellow - PC917. The hair and pants are simply colored in Black, but given different shades.

To his hair, I added some "Frosted Lace" Stickles to give him a sparkly look.

For the sentiment, I went back and used an older Whimsie Doodles Sentiment Set - Halloween Button Sentiments.

As always, I carried the design - which is based on a The Deconstructed Sketch #17 -  into the inside of the card.

Ok, time to keep "Hopping". Your next stop is Min's Blog. Please go give a WARM welcome to the Whimsie Doodles Family! Don't forget to stop by the Whimsie Doodles Blog for your chance to win ONE of the September Images!
