Hello Everyone!
Welcome to My Craft Spot's Monday Challenge #62!!
This week's challenge is all about the 4TH OF JULY and CANADA DAY!!
Although our Canadian friends celebrated CANADA DAY yesterday, we would LOVE to see what you created to celebrate your special day!
And us here in the US, we will be celebrating the 4TH OF JULY in only TWO short days!! Show us what you've done to celebrate such a special day!
Unfortunately, here in NJ it is illegal to sell or purchase fireworks, firecrackers, sparklers, etc - so I've decided to make my own 4TH OF JULY Firecracker!
I used a 7" SRM Test Tube and filled it with BLUE and RED M&Ms - btw, did you know that there are MORE blue M&Ms than red in a small bag?
I made a Paper Rosette using a 1-1/4" x 12" strip of the Pink Paislee Declaration Kit - available for purchase at the Paper Issues' Etsy Store. The star is from the Cricut Craft Room Basics cut at 2" with the Shadow Feature. The number "4" was also cut out at 2" from the Cricut Craft Room Basics using the "Firecracker" patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Declaration Kit.
I added the "Hip Hip Hooray" sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Sweet Sentiments #2" Stamp Set. I adhered the sentiment strip to the Paper Rosette using an "Airmail" Devine Twine - available at My Craft Spot - Button.
The lid of the test tube was embellished with a sticker strip from the Element Stickers Sheet included in the Pink Paislee Declaration Kit from the Paper Issues' Etsy Store.
I used different elements from a few 4TH OF JULY decor picks I purchased at my local AC MOORE, to create a sorta "SPARKLER" effect. I held it all together with a piece of "Airmail" Devine Twine - avialable at My Craft Spot.
NOW, its YOUR turn! Create a NEW - no backlinking please - 4TH OF JULY or CANADA DAY project and link it up to the My Craft Spot Blog by Monday, July 9th 11:59PM MST for your chance to win this week's prize.
