Hi!

Welcome to my DT Day over at Whimsie Doodles!

Can you believe that today is the LAST day of September?! Where has the month gone? As I walk into many department stores the Halloween Decorations are everywhere, the costumes are out for purchase and the aisle are filled with Candy. October is HERE.

Today I have a quick Set of 3 Halloween Cards using the "Halloween Sentiments 2012" from Whimsie Doodles' September Release.

Hopping Day - Halloween Sentiments 2012 Collection

I used THREE(3) Sentiments from the SIX(6) Sentiments included in the "Halloween Sentiments 2012" Collection. You can find them in the "Holidays & Events - Halloween" section of the store.

Best Witches - Halloween Sentiments 2012 Collection.

All the cards were based on an older sketch by The Pink Elephant  - TPE159.

I love the simplicity of the sketch and how it allows the "Halloween Sentiements 2012" to be the focal point of the card.

Boo - Halloween Sentimenst 2012 Collection

The "Halloween Sentiments 2012" were sized to about 2" using Microsoft Word and then cut and embossed with my Nestabilities Lg Circle Dies.

Hopping Day - Halloween Sentiments 2012 Collection

The Upper Crest Border was made using my Cricut Expression2, as was the large black circle mat - 2-1/2".

I tied some "Orange Devine" Devine Twine - available for purchase at My Craft Spot - around the border strip and embellished with a mix of Purple, Green and Orange Buttons.

I couldn't just leave the inside of the cards blank, so using Photoshop Elements I erased the borders and wording from the "Halloween Sentiments 2012" leaving only the image. I then used MS Word to recolor the image and enlarge it to fit inside of the card. Each card's inside matches the "Halloween Sentiment 2012" used on the card front.

Best Witches - Halloween Sentiments 2012 Collection.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick Halloween Card Set using the "Halloween Sentiments 2012".

Be sure to check out the Whimsie Doodles Store for more ADORABLE images.

Hi Everyone!

The "Bats, Witches, Mosnters, etc." Sentiment was stamped onto a circle made using the largest circle of the NEW My Craft Spot "Tiny Doilies" Metal Dies. It was then layered onto the "Lacey Circle" and "Scalloped Circle" dies of the "Tiny Doilies" Metal Dies, available for purchase HERE. The "Bat" Image was then stamped into the doughnut circle made with the "Doughnut Die" from the "Tiny Doilies" Metal Dies and adhered with a pop-dot.

Hi Everyone!

Welcome to Whimsie Doodles' September 2012 Monthly Challenge!

We are half way into Spetember and most of us have quickly adjusted to the BACK TO SCHOOL routine of every morning. And this exactly what this month's Whimsie Doodles Challenge is all about - BACK TO SCHOOL!!

Simply create a card, layout, project, etc with a BACK TO SCHOOL theme.

This month we will have TWO (2) lucky winners for the challenge! One (1) lucky winner will be drawn at random to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles image, of their choice, from our latest release. And the second winner will join our team as a Guest Artist in November 2012!!

Make sure to check out our Monthly Challenge Details Page for all rules and specifics.

~*~

For my BACK TO SCHOOL card, I used the NEW "Apple Lizzie" Digital Image. "Apple Lizzie" is available in our WHAT'S NEW section - along with a few other School Friends - for the remainder of the month. Afterwards, be sure to look for her in the SCHOOL DIGI'S section.

The card is based on an older CPS Sketch #279.

I used the NEW My Mind's Eye School Daze 6x6 Paper Pad, purchased at the Paper Issues Store. Be sure to check the sidebar for your 20% off discount code.

"Apple Lizzie" was colored with a mixture of my PrismaColor Pencils and Crayola Color Pencils. I paper pieced her skirt from a piece of the My Mind's Eye School Daze Red Plaid Paper.

I used some of My Craft Spot's "Buttercup" Crinkle Ribbon to make a double-loop bow. I centered the bow with a "Cherry Devine" Devine Twine - available at My Craft Spot - button. I added a small leave cut with my Cricut to turn the button into an apple.

The inside of the card was left simple. I used a "Sending you Happy Thoughts" Sentiment from the My Craft Spot "Butterfly Kisses" Stamp Set.

NOW, its YOUR turn! Create a NEW - no backlinking please -  BACK TO SCHOOL project and link it up to the Whimsie Doodles Blog by  Tuesday, September 25th 11:59PM CST for your chance to win a FREE Whimsie Doodles Image.

Hi Everyone!

Thank You for joining me for my DT Day over at My Craft Spot.

As you all might already know, I wasn't able to completely participate in the recent Fall Stamp Release Party. So I'm here today to show you a quick and fast Halloween Treat using ONE of the BRAND NEW, JUST RELEASED My Craft Spot Stamp Sets.
This year I'm thinking about Halloween in a different way - NO CANDY! Who says Halloween is ALL about CANDY?! I've made cute little "Treat" - a Pop-Up Gift Card Holder - great for Teachers, Friends, Co-Workers, etc.

The papers are from the Echo Park Chillingsworth Manor 6x6 Paper Pad purchased at the Paper Issues Store.  Be sure to check the sidebar for your 20% off discount code.

Holding the JUST TREATS GIFT CARD closed is a piece of My Craft Spot's "Marmalade" Crinkle Ribbon. I added a little bow made from the "Green Apple" Devine Twine - available HERE at My Craft Spot - centered with a Hand-Dyed Black Mulberry Rose.

I stamped the "No Tricks just Treats" Sentiment onto a circle made using the largest circle of the NEW My Craft Spot "Tiny Doilies" Metal Dies. It was then layered onto the "Lacey Circle" and "Scalloped Circle" dies of the "Tiny Doilies" Metal Dies, available for purchase HERE. The Sentiment Circle was then adhered to the "Marmalade" Crinkle Ribbon.

The JUST TREATS GIFT CARD HOLDER was designed using the Cricut Craft Room and Craft Room Basics Digital Cartridge based on several Gift Card Holders I found online.

The Pop-Up Insert perfectly holds a Gift Card inside.

I stamped the bottom flap with the "Happy Halloween" Sentiment also from the My Craft Spot "Best Witches to You" Stamp Set.

I hope to have inspired you to use some of the amazing My Craft Spot products and use the stamps in creative ways.

The My Craft Spot Design Team is taking the week off to recover from all the AMAZING projects done for the Fall Stamp Release, but be sure to join us again on Monday, Septembe 17th for a BRAND NEW challenge.

Thank You for joining me over at My Craft Spot!

Now to my BLOG HOP Project!

Sharing the Harvest - 3D Pumpkin Box

Supplies Used:
My Craft Spot("Toadally Green" Crinkle Ribbon, "Happy Thanksgiving" Stamp Set, "Tiny Doilies" Metal Dies), Cricut Expression2, Cricut Cartridges(Sweet Tooth Boxed, Freshly Picked, Flowe Shoppe), Bazzill Basics(Bitter Chocolate, Tangelo), The Paper Loft(Orange Plaid), Colobok(Brown Polka Dots), My Mind's Eye(Yellow Flower), Jillibean Soup(Green Floral), Me & My Big Ideas(Gems).

Unfortunately, do to health issues - nothing serious, just a darn stubborn wisdom tooth - I wasn't able to fully participate in the My Craft Spot Fall Release. Thankfully after an emergency tooth surgery I'm feeling soo much better and couldn't pass up participating in the My Craft Spot Fall Release BLOG HOP. However, I'm running a little late - as usual - and my project will be up in a few hours. So Sorry.

Please be sure to come back in a few hours. You won't want to miss it! There will be a prize at the end!

Inspired by the "Sharing the Harvest" sentiment from the BRAND NEW, JUST RELEASED "Happy Thanksgiving" Stamp Set, I created a 3D Pumpkin Box.

The pumpkin was made from the "ConeLy1". I used Cindy Royal's idea of cutting one box slightly larger than the other to have it fit as a top. The lid was cut at 8-5/8" and the bottom was cut at 8-1/2".

To hide the Scallop Border on the boxes, I used a 3/4" x 12" strip of paper all around the Pumpkin Box.

I centered a Scalloped Sentiment Tag made using the BRAND NEW My Craft Spot "Tiny Doilies"  Metal Dies. The circle line border was made using a circle from the smallest circle die of the set. I simply traced around it with my pen and then stamped the "Sharing the Harvest" Sentiment from the JUST RELEASED My Craft Spot "Happy Thanksgiving" Stamp Set.

To the top of the lid box, I made a "stem" using a piece of foam from an old kid's craft project. I added a Pumpkin Leave from the Cricut Freshly Pick Cartridge(pg.68) cut at 4-1/2".

I tied some "Toadally Green" Crinkle Ribbon from My Craft Spot around the stem.

A second sentiment - "Autumn Wishes" - from the BRAND NEW "Happy Thanksgiving" Stamp Set was stamped onto a small strip. I centered the bow and senitment with a small "Mum2" Flower from the Cricut Flower Shoppe Cartridge cut at 1/2".

I plan on filling the "3D Pumpkin Box" with some Hershey Kisses or maybe some Roasted Pumpkin Seeds and give it to one of my son's teacher for Thanksgiving. Oh! I just thought that these would also make GREAT place setting pieces. Simply add your guests name and after dinner they have an ADORABLE Pumpkin Box to package some goodies in.

I hope you have enjoyed my Sharing the Harvest 3D Pumpkin Box. I'm your LAST stop on the My Craft Spot Fall Stamp Release Party BLOG HOP.

But Wait!

Before you go, I have some a Stamp Party Giveway for you!
