Shop Pumpin Spice Challenge #2 - 3D Stacked Snowman

Hello Everyone!

In case you haven't heard, Shop Pumpkin Spice will be having weekly challenges with a NEW Theme EVERY Saturday!! For FULL details on Rules and Guidelines, please visit the Pumpkin Spice Blog

This week's challenge is all about SNOWMEN/SNOWPEOPLE/Etc! Simply create a NEW - no backlinking, please - card, layout, project that makes you think of SNOWMEN! Be Creative and Have Fun!

~*~

I haven't done a 3D item in a while, so for my SNOWMAN project I decided to create a STACKED SNOWMAN based on a few projects I've seen around lately.

~*~ PUBLISHED in the Cricut Magazine January 2014  ~*~

My SNOWMAN is created from 3 Hexagon Boxes cut from the Cricut Life's A Party Cartridge cut at 10", 9", and 8". The boxes were embossed using the Cuttlebug "D'vine Swirls" Embossing Folder. I then lightly inked the swirls in blue, the edges in brown and added some Martha Stewart Glitter to mimic some frozen snow.

I stamped the smallest box(8") with a SNOWMAN Face from the Peachy Keen Winter Face Assortment Stamp Set with some Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The nose was colored in with my Orange PrismaColor Pencil.

No SNOWMAN is complete without his Magic Hat. The hat is also a Hexagon Box from the Cricut Life's A Party Cartridge cut at 6-5/8" and layered on top of a 3-5/8" circle. I then added a double-loop bow using some blue satin ribbon and tucked in a small berry pick I got from Michael's. The snowflake was cut from the Cricut Winter Frolic Cartridge at 1-1/4" and centered with a Prima Say-It-In-Crystals Gem.

The SNOWMAN'S Arms are a branch stick cut from the Cricut Doodlecharms Cartridge at 2-3/4". It was cut several times and layered on top of each other for some stability.

I made a quick scarf from some soft Blue Felt I had on hand and added some blue bottoms to the middle and bottom boxes.

The sentiment is from the My Craft Spot "Winter Wonderland" Stamp Set stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a 2" Banner cut from the Cricut Birthday Bash Cartridge. The banner was then hung using some "Berry Blue Berry" Twinery Twine - available at My Craft Spot.

I sealed all of my boxes, but you could always leave them open and fill with some candies.

I hope you  have enjoyed my 3D STACKED SNOWMAN, as much as I did creating him.

Now, YOUR turn! Create a NEW - no backlinking, please - SNOWMEN/SNOWPERSON/ETC. project and link it up to the Pumpkin Spice Blog by Friday, January 18th 11:59 PST for your chance to be this week's winner!
