Have your ELF a Merry Christmas Gift Card Holders

Pin It Now!

Hello Everyone!

Sharing my last project for the Holiday Season with you all today. I'd like to start off by apologizing for the photo quality. These were finished and photographed literally a few hours before they had to go out the door with my oldest son to school, so the lighting wasn't the best.

At last minute my oldest son -  7th grader now - decided he wanted to give his teachers - 4 of them -  a small gift card for Christmas. And of course, crafty mom here couldn't but help make a quick Gift Card Treat Holder. I used the SVG Cutting Files Gift Card Treat Holder as my base and added a SVG Cutting Files Chibi Elves to each holder.

My son has one male teacher, so he wanted me to make his Elf a boy. I used the Peachy Keen PK-1531 Black Eyed Peaches Faces 1-1/8th on the Boy and the Peachy Keen PK-1321 In the Garden Faces 1-1/8th on the Girls. I added some Pearls to the Girl Elves and a Mini Jingle Bell to each elves hat.

I tucked a little flag strip with the sentiment from the Jaded Blossom Merry & Bright Stamp Set. The inside was filled with a Target Gift Card and some Hershey Kisses embellished with Christmas Candies from the Jaded Blossom Merry & Bright Stamp Set. I finished them off by wrapping them up in a Cello Bag and making a quick ribbon tie.

I hope you have enjoyed my ELF GIFT CARD TREAT HOLDERS.

I will be entering this project in the Jaded Blossom December Challenge: Crafter's Choice.

Thank You all for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

Happy Holly Days Goodie Bags

Pin It Now!

Hello Everyone!

I'm here today to share with you all some quick toppers I made for my son's class. During the month of December, my son's teacher is doing a Christmas Countdown where all the kids are to bring something small for each classmate. We decided on what else than a craft?! and of course I had to "pretty up" the topper.

I found some Wood Ornament Kits at my local Michaels. The kit came with the Wood Ornament and Markers, we added the Pom-Poms and a Candy Cane to each baggie before adding the toppers. Since these are for school I left things rather simple. The topper is just a piece of pattered paper folded in half. I dressed it up with the SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Holly Berries. I stamped each Berry with a Peachy Keen Face from the PK-0754 Critter Faces Medium.

I tucked in a flag sentiment strip stamped with the "Happy Holly Days" Sentiment from the Jaded Blossom Merry & Bright Christmas Stamp Set.

Hope you have enjoyed my HAPPY HOLLY DAYS TOPPERS.

I'd love you hear your comments!

Jaded Blossom December 2016 Guest Designer - Santa's Mail Treat Box

Pin It Now!

Hello Everyone!

I'm super excited to be part of the December 2016 Guest Designers for Jaded Blossom! Thank You Candace and Michelle for such a great opportunity!

Today I have a fun treat box to share with you all using some of Jaded Blossom's Stamps & Dies. I was watching the Macy's Believe commercial when the light bulb went off - why not make a 3D Santa Mailbox using all of the wonderful Jaded Blossom goodies I had purchased during their Black Friday Sale?!

I started off with the SVG Cutting Files Standing Mailbox Treat Box and made a few tweaks - I enlarged it to fit my needs and made a few scorelines to give it that original mailbox look. I then hand-cut mats from Doodlebug Design Here Comes Santa Claus - So Dear patterned paper and added some Maraschino Twine around the edges.

The word "Santa's" was cut out using the Jaded Blossom Alphabet Dies and "Mail" was made using Doodlebug Design Candy Shoppe Cardstock Stickers - discontinued. I added poor Santa to the front of the mailbox using the SVG Cutting Files Santa Splits and gave him a Peachy Keen PK-1401 Clowning Around 1-1/8th Face. Used Doodlebug Design Here Comes Santa Claus and Doodlebug Design Petite Prints on his suit.

I hand-cut a small slot on the mailbox and added a "Letter to Santa" made using a Rectangle Die from the Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies and masking off a phrase from the Jaded Blossom Merry & Bright Stamp Set leaving only the word "Santa". I also stamped the phrase "Ho Ho Ho" on to the mailbox from the Jaded Blossom Christmas Signs Stamp Set.

I tied off the mailbox with some White Glitter Ribbon, Red Jute String, Jingle Bells and a sentiment strip made using the Long Thin Rectangle Die from the  Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies and "North Pole" phrase from Jaded Blossom Christmas Signs Stamp Set.

No treat box is complete without some goodies inside. I added some Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies to a Jaded Blossom 2.25" x 8" Clear Bag - trimmed down - and tied it off with a Rectangle Die from the Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies and "Cookie for Santa" from the Jaded Blossom Christmas Signs Stamp Set.

I hope you have enjoyed my SANTA'S MAIL Treat Box. I had so much fun putting it all together using all those great Jaded Blossom Products.

Be sure to check back often for some more inspiring projects!

Thanksgiving Day Snacks: Turkey Pudding Cups & Pilgrim Juice

Pin It Now!

Hello Everyone!

I'm back today with my LAST Thanksgiving project. I just love the Fall/Thanksgiving and all the fun projects you can make during this season. Today's project isn't a bit one or one to ooh and ahh over, but I still wanted to share it with you.

I had the wonderful opportunity to be my son's Head Room Parent last year, which meant I was charge of organizing and planning out all parties and events - it was so much fun! For their Thanksgiving Day Snacks I created some Turkey Pudding Cups and Pilgrim Juice Boxes. The face and tail feathers on the pudding cups are from the SVG Cutting Files Turkey Cup Craft for Kids, I hot glued these to some Chocolate Pudding Cups. I replaced the eye cuts for some Peachy Keen PK-0181 Erkle and Merkle Faces 1-1/8th.

To create the Pilgrim Juice Boxes, I simply wrapped some Black Construction paper around the juice boxes and added a strip of White Construction paper to make the band. The buckle was resized to fit the juice box and cut from the SVG Cutting Files Pilgrim Turkey 2015.

These snacks were put together quickly.

I hope you have enjoyed all my Thanksgiving projects this month. I had a blast making them!

December is a bit more of a complicated month - isn't it for everyone? - so I don't promise to have as many projects for you. However, I do have ONE big project I'm currently working one, so be sure to check back soon. 😉

Thank You for checking out my blog! I would love to hear your comments!

Gobble Gobble Gusset Bag

Pin It Now!

Hello!

I'm here today to share with you a quick treat bag my son asked me to make for his 4th Grade Teacher for Thanksgiving.

To create the topper, I used the SVG Cutting Files Ornate Fold Over Card Base and cut off the excess. I added the adorable SVG Cutting Files Pilgrim Turkey 2015. Instead of having him standing up, I cut off his legs and glued them on the sides, trying to make him look like he's sitting or doing a split. His eyes are from the Peachy Keen PK-0294 The Cornies Faces 1-1/8th, I just love that perplexed "Don't Eat Me" look it gives my turkeys.

The "Gobble Gobble" Sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom Let's Talk Turkey Stamp Set. I added a quick insert to the inside of a Jaded Blossom Gusset Bag and filled it with some Tootsie Rolls - teacher's favorite. All pattered papers are scraps from the Simple Stories Harvest Lane 6x6 Paper Pad.

I hope you have enjoyed my GOBBLE GOBBLE GUSSET BAG.

I have one last Thanksgiving project to share with you, so be sure to check back next week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Gobble Gobble Treat Bag Tags

Pin It Now!

Hi Everyone!

I was doing a quick file clean-up on my computer and found a few projects I made last year when I was away from blogging and never got around to share. Thought I would post about them now since they are perfect for the Thanksgiving Season.

I made these about TWO days before my son's Thanksgiving Party at school. For my tag base I used the SVG Cutting Files Ornate Card Base 3 and SVG Cutting Files "Gobble til You Wobble" Turkey. I stamped the eyes from the Peachy Keen PK-0294 The Cornies Faces 1-1/8th set. The "Gobble Gobble" Sentiment is from the My Craft Spot "Happy Fall" Stamp Set - no longer in business.

I used the Jaded Blossom 1x8 Clear Bags and filled them with some Candy Corn flavored M&M's. The tag was attached with some orange tulle.

I hope you have enjoyed my GOBBLE GOBBLE TREAT BAG TAGS and have been inspired to create your own. Be sure to check out my blog later this week for another Thanksgiving idea.

Thanks for stopping by!

Jaded Blossom Thankful/Thanksgiving Challenge - Thankful 3D Apple Pie Box

Pin It Now!

Hi ScrappinCookie Fans!

I'm here today to share with you a project I made for the Jaded Blossom November Challenge - Thankful/Thanksgiving. The idea for this project came together rather quickly in my head. I had just finished watching a Thanksgiving Pie Baking Challenge on TV and it led me to think about a Jaded Blossom Sentiment. And when I heard about their November Challenge, I knew exactly what I wanted to make - a THANKFUL 3D APPLE PIE BOX.

I remembered I had seen a 3D Pie Box on SVG Cutting Files. I cut the Pie Box a bit differently than how it was designed. I wanted more of a lidded box than a hinged box and so I cut out two of the bases, one slightly larger than the other.

The edges were browned inked and curved up to give it that golden brown look of a freshly baked crust. I then added a bit of coarse glitter to resemble that touch of granulated sugar sprinkled on the crust right before going into the oven.

I finished it off with some "Vintage Pine" Crinkled Ribbon from My Craft Spot - no longer in business -, brown jute string, a berry pick and silk flower from Michaels. I tucked in a flag strip stamped with the "I am thankful for you and pie" Sentiment from the Jaded Blossom "Let's Talk Turkey" Stamp Set.

No pie is complete without some delicious filling. For my THANKFUL 3D APPLE PIE BOX, I used some Caramel Apple Filled Hard Candies. The "Apple Bucket" and "Pie" Image Candies are also from the Jaded Blossom "Let's Talk Turkey" Stamp Set - that is why I love this stamp set, not only do you get sentiments, but you also get some 'candy stamps'.

Today's post was a bit lengthy, but I'm happy with how my THANKFUL 3D APPLE PIE BOX turned out and wanted to share all the details with you. I hope you love it as much as I do! I'd love to hear your comments.

The THANKFUL 3D APPLE PIE BOX is available for purchase in my Etsy Store - ScrappinCookie.

Scarecrow Nugget Treat Topper - Boy Version

Pin It Now!

Hello Everyone!

I couldn't help myself and I just had to make a boy version of the SCARECROW TOPPER NUGGET TREAT BAG.

This adorable little scarecrow topper is from the My Scrap Chick Harvest Treat Toppers & Cards file. For this boy version, I used only the eyes from the Peachy Keen PK-1531 Black Eyed Peaches Faces, kept the original nose from the file, chalked in rosy cheeks and hand drew a smile. The "Grateful" Sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom "Let's Talk Turkey" Stamp Set.

Again, I made a quick Chocolate Nugget Tray, wrapped the nuggets with Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper strips and packaged it in a Jaded Blossom 2.25 x 8 Inch Clear Bag.

I'd love to hear what you think of my Scarecrow Topper Nugget Treat Bags. Leave me a comment!

Scarecrow Topper Nugget Treat Bag - Girl

Pin It Now!

Hello Everyone!

I'm back today to share with you all my first Fall Treat Project. I hope to have time to make a few more Fall/Thanksgiving Themed projects.

I used the Scarecrow Girl from the My Scrap Chick Harvest Treat Toppers & Cards file. I love that you get a two-for-one with this set. You can use the files as Shaped Cards or Treat Toppers, like I did here. I just downsized the file a bit to make it have a better fit on my treat bag.

I decided to go with only the eyes from the Peachy Keen PK-1521 In the Garden II Faces and used the original nose that came in the file. Checks were chalked in and I hand drew the smile. The "Happy Fall" sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom "Let's Talk Turkey" Stamp Set.

I made a quick Chocolate Nugget Tray, wrapped the nuggets with Simple Stories Harvest Lane paper strips and packaged it in a Jaded Blossom 2.25 x 8 Inch Clear Bag.

Mummy Pencil Tags

Pin It Now!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Halloween!

Today I'm here to share with you some Mummy Pencil Tags I created for my son's class. I was asked by the Head Room Parent to help out and make some tags to tie to some pencils that will be part of their Halloween Goodie Bag.

To make the tags I used the SVG Cutting Files Arched Top Card Base. Since its meant to be used as a card base, I got two tags from one cut, making it so much easier and faster. The adorable little Mummy Head is from the SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Nerdy Halloween. I opted to hide the face features and use the Peachy Keen PK-1371 Kawaii Faces 1-1/8th Faces.

The sentiment was computer generated and hand-cut into a flag strip. I finished it off by tying it to the pencil with some orange ribbon. I skipped all the glitter, buttons, twine and sequins, because its meant for 9-10 years and chances are the tags won't even make it home.

I hope you have enjoyed my Mummy Pencil Tags.

Jaded Blossom Halloween Challenge - Witch Brew Caddy

Pin It Now!

Hello ScrappinCookie Fans!

I'm back today to share another Halloween Project I made. I created this one specifically for the Jaded Blossom Halloween Challenge

Inspired by the "Witch" "Brew" Sentiments from the Jaded Blossom Halloween Signs Stamp Set, I created a little caddy using a few files from SVG Cutting Files. I started with the SVG Cutting Files Handled Candy Pocket. Instead of scoring as suggested, I widen the bottom base to fit a slider box made with the SVG Cutting Files Scallop Matchbox enlarged to hold two "WITCH BREW" - coffee - pods.

I embellished the WITCH BREW CADDY with some Doodlebug Design Halloween Parade papers and the adorable Brewing Witch from the SVG Cutting Files No Fraidy Cats. I used the Peachy Keen PK-1531 Black Eyed Peaches Faces 1-1/8th.

I tied the caddy closed with some orange glittered tulle and added a sentiment striped with "Happy Halloween" also made with the Jaded Blossom Halloween Signs Stamp Set, a button and some green Jute String.

I hope you have enjoyed my WITCH BREW CADDY!

I will be listing it in my Etsy Store - ScrappinCookie.

Vampire Vaccine

Pin It Now!

Hello ScrappinCookie Fans!

Its been another LOOONG period of time since I last posted. Now that the weather is turning a bit chiller, I hope to have some more crafty time. For today, I have a Halloween project to share with you , some VAMPIRE VACCINES. I had this idea in mind for some time now. It did not turn out quite how I had envisioned it, but I do like the outcome.

I started with the Trifold Coffin Card from SVG Cutting Files and enlarged them to fit a plastic syringe. Since the cut is meant to be a Trifold Card, I was able to get three coffin pieces when cut down the scoreline. The plastic syringes are those oral dosing medication syringes you get at the pharmacy with your liquid medication - I used new & clean ones. You could also get these online.

I filled the syringes with candy - the one pictured is filled with M&M's and the other two are filled with TicTacs and Sixlets. Tied them with some purple glittered tulle to the coffin base. Added a sentiment strip stamped with "Vampire Vaccine" using the Jaded Blossom Halloween Signs Stamp Set. Finshed it off with some Black Jute String and red button.

I hope you have enjoyed my VAMPIRE VACCINE project.
I will be listing them in my Etsy Store - ScrappinCookie.

Birthday Cake Gusset Bag

Pin It Now!

Hello ScrappinCookie Fans,

Today I have fun and quick treat bag to share with you. I made this specifically for the Jaded Blossom July Customer Appreciation Challenge - check out the Jaded Blossom Blog for more details -  and then added a few more as I went along.

For the last two weeks Jaded Blossom has had their Customer Appreciation Sale and not having made a BIG crafty purchase in two years, I went for it. For this project I used the Jaded Blossom Supersized Birthday Greetings. I stamped the sentiment onto a hand-cut flag strip and added it to my topper made with the SVG Cutting Files Ornate Card Base - 3.

I filled a Gusset Bag - also from Jaded Blossom - with some Hershey Kisses. I used the Jaded Blossom Birthday Candies 2 for the bottom of the chocolates. Images were colored in using my PrismaColor Pencils - I can't color with Copics or any other kind of marker.

To finish off the treat bag, I used the Birthday Cake from the SVG Cutting Files Kawaii Birthday Lollipop Covers - the image was downsized a bit. I stamped it with the PK - 1371 Kawaii Faces from Peachy Keen. I felt like it need a bit of sparkle, so I reached for my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen and started added shimmer to the flame and frosting edges, without noticing that I grabbed the wrong pen! I used the Wink of Stella White instead of Wink of Stella Clear and it left this white border line to where I added it. It covered up all the edge inking and details I had added. So Mad.

Before I started working on this project, I learned about ColourQ Challenge #350 and when I saw the color palette I immediately thought about the Echo Park Paper Birthday Wishes Girl Collection. Perfect for my Birthday Cake Gusset Bag. Although I didn't use SU! Colors, I tried to stay very close.

I hope you have enjoyed this project. I would love to hear your thoughts! Thank You for stopping by!
