Cardstock Warehouse - Pizza of my Heart

Hello Everyone!
As I'm sure we all know, tomorrow is Valentine's Day - some like it, some don't. Did it sneak up on you again?! It sure did to me! But have NO FEAR! I'm here to show you how to put together a quick and easy Valentine Gift Box for that special someone that has taken a "Pizza of your Heart" using some Cardstock Warehouse papers and a SVG File.

The fun part about Holidays is that you can take everyday items - like pizza – and give them a twist simply by changing their color to match your holiday. The pizza box was created using the My Scrap Chick Pizza Slice Kawaii Box Cutting File. For my first box, I cut the box out of Cardstock Warehouse Pink Lemonade Pop-Tone Collection paper, giving my pizza slice a pink crust. After all, it is Valentine’s Day. The second slice, was cut out of Cardstock Warehouse Paper Bag Kraft paper, which was a perfect color match to a delicious golden brown crust. I also modified the original file by replacing the pepperoni for some heart-shaped ones.

Before assembling my box together, I embossed the sides of the box using a Heart Shaped Embossing Folder. I really liked how the cardstock stood up to the embossing; it didn’t wrinkle or shrink during the embossing.
For the adorable face on my Pizza Slice, I used the Peachy Keen Stamps Sweet on You Faces. Here is a little tip when stamping faces onto colored cardstock. I first stamped the face on to the “Cheese”(Cardstock Warehouse Banana Split Pop-Tone Collection paper). I stamped a second face on some Cardstock Warehouse White Sweet Tooth Pop-Tone Collection paper, colored in my eyes and fuzzy cut around the eye, leaving out the lashes. I then ran the piece thru my Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker and adhered over the set I had stamped onto the cardstock. Now I have perfectly white era!

I used the Jaded Blossom Kawaii Sentiments Stamp Set, to let my Valentine know they have taken a "pizza of my heart". The sentiment was stamped on some Cardstock Warehouse White Sweet Tooth Pop-Tone Collection paper, and die-cut with the  Jaded Blossom Flag Dies.

The finishing touches to my Pizza Box was a bow and twined button. At last minute, I decided it need some sparkle, so I quickly brushed the crust and heart pepperoni with a glitter pen. Inside you can add some paper shreds, small candies, and even a gift card to a Pizzeria.

So, what are you waiting for? Let that special person know they have taken a “Pizza of your Heart”.  We’d love to see!
